Our Methodology

What you will find on our sites

Every comparison site published by Deal My Web OÜ follows the same method, which we describe on this page so you can judge what you read for yourself. We publish three kinds of content.

  • Buying guides rank several products that meet the same need.
  • Reviews cover one product in detail.
  • Advice articles help you understand a subject and make an informed choice.

The products we feature

The products ranked in our guides are sold on Amazon.com. We do not buy them, and we do not use them ourselves. Our content is built from the information available about each product, which we gather, compare and summarize for you.

When a product comes in several variants, for example in different colors or sizes, we feature it once. Accessories and spare parts sold on their own are not included in our rankings.

Our sources

We rely on three kinds of sources.

  • Published specifications from manufacturers and sellers.
  • Buyer reviews, which show how a product performs in everyday use and which problems owners report.
  • Other reliable sources on the subject, whose information we cross-check.

How we build a ranking

To rank the products in a guide, we weigh four things.

  • Fit for the need the guide covers. A good product can rank lower if it does not suit the intended use.
  • Strengths and limits of each model, which we present in a balanced way.
  • Buyer satisfaction, as reflected in aggregated customer reviews.
  • Price, so that each pick makes sense for its budget. A product must be listed on Amazon.com to be ranked.

How we get paid

If you buy a product on Amazon after clicking one of our links, we earn an affiliate commission. It does not change the price you pay and has no effect on our rankings. No manufacturer pays to appear in our content.

Keeping our content up to date

We review and update our content as new products appear and as buyer reviews accumulate. Prices, ratings and availability come from Amazon.com and change constantly: the figures shown on Amazon.com when you buy are the ones that apply.

Write to us

Is a product missing from a guide? Does some information look wrong, or does a ranking seem questionable to you? Write to us at affiliate@dealmyweb.com. Your feedback helps us improve our content.
